Teachers

Gretchen Horinger
Rooted | Irreverent | Human
Gretchen completed her 200-hour teacher training with Marni Task in 2012 and teaches Jivamukti-inspired vinyasa classes meant to challenge both body and mind, to deepen connections, and tap into our ability to create from a place of fearless authenticity....and sometimes she swears a little.

Maria Varonis
Soulful | Nurturing | Light-Hearted
Like many of us, Maria found yoga because she needed it, not because she was looking for it. She began rock climbing and practicing yoga as a way to step away from the chaos she spent many years chasing after. Learning the value of a good deep breath and a full body stretch, her priorities shifted. In 2012 she received her yoga certification so that maybe she could help others find the safe space she found for herself on her mat. She has been teaching around the Akron area ever since.

Katie Syracopolous
Heartfelt | Playful | Intentional
Katie completed her 200-hour teacher training with Amy B-G and Tracey Rhinehart in 2016. Katie’s classes are inspired by the Baron Baptiste Power Yoga method and focus on helping students strengthen their physical bodies, while empowering them to explore and expand their mental and emotional capabilities.  She may be tiny in stature, but her classes pack a major punch!

Morgan Jones
Edgy | Compassionate | Balanced
Morgan completed her Kripalu inspired 200-hour teacher training with Carly Conatser in 2016. Her teaching emphasizes self-awareness, connecting breath and movement, and exploring one's edge. Through music, movement and breath, Morgan guides students through a personal experience of expansion and transformation, encouraging them to be brave enough to live, un-apologetically.

Matthew DeRubertis
Simple | Direct | Real
Matthew DeRubertis completed his 200-hour teacher training in 2015 with Rick Arko. In addition to his intense and diverse passion for his music career, his teaching is also deeply influenced by the Kripalu Hatha Yoga approach. Matthew classes move students through a simple series of postures that promote a deep sense of calm, awareness, and a refreshing inward experience. He is a firm believer that a regular yoga practice promotes taking ownership of one’s life, realizing one’s dreams and ambitions, and transcending limitations.

Liz Rosenberg
Empowering | Joyful | Balanced
Liz completed her 200-hour teacher training with Gaurav Malik in 2015. Her hatha-based classes are designed to encourage students to experience what their bodies can do without judgement and inspire them to take their practice beyond the mat. When not in a yoga studio, she’s wandering around in the woods or looking for more dogs to follow on Instagram.

Callie Boyer
Fun | Fluid | Free
Callie began her yoga journey over ten years ago and finally achieved her dream of becoming a teacher in 2015 when she completed her 200-hour teacher training at a small Buddhist community in the Rocky Mountains. Callie’s approach to yoga is as a healing art utilizing asanas, breath, and mantra to experience what lies beyond the mind.
